Master Bath Suite
The clients started with a tight, aqua blue-tiled master bath in a 60 year old Salt-Box style home. The goal was to increase the size of the master bathroom and create a laundry space utilizing half of the guest room closet. The client requested a “spa-like” shower and the result was a modern and upbeat custom curved glass wall complete with built in shampoo shelves, a halt-moon teak stool, a large rain style shower head and body sprays. We used materials consistent with the period of the home, such as white marble and mixed them with more modern elements such as the glittered white ceramic tile floor. The White Carrara Marble Tile combines with the charcoal and grey blue mosaic accents on the wall of the room and the shower. The crisp white and charcoal mosaic is a dramatic touch contrasting with the storm blue colored tile in the surround shower walls. We installed a door to the guest room closet and moved a wall to create the laundry room off of the master bathroom. All lighting and electrical details were custom designed. The vanity lighting was specifically designed to provide ample illumination with recessed and sconce lighting. The shower and remaining areas are lighted with dimmable recessed fixtures.
