Hilton Garden Inn Omaha West

An urban hotel receives a contemporary makeover

The goal of this hospitality interior design project was to improve the quality of guest satisfaction for this Hilton Garden Inn. It seems that our work has been on-target, because our client is ecstatic about the reviews they’re receiving.

This project won a regional ASID Silver Award in 2020.

Making these spaces brighter and more welcoming were some of our goals. As guest arrive, they sense an air of serenity and calm. The brand standards of the hotel and building codes provide many specifications for the interior appearance. We complied with those while creating an air of casual elegance.

The dining area has the advantage of being accessible even during evening hours, expanding the time that entertaining can occur throughout the day. It’s convenient to invite someone to meet you in the lounge or the dining area at any hour. The breakfast bar and market place help each guest feel at home. As interior designers, our goal is to help people feel relaxed and welcome in every single hotel we work on. Creating an atmosphere where hotel guests are at home when they arrive is the critical element of this hospitality interior design project.

Although there are brand standards with hotels similar to this one, each hotel is an individual situation and must comply with codes and brand Interpretations for the future. This is where the design challenge comes in.

All the interior space planning in this hotel was done by The Designers; no architect was needed.

Difficult issues such as changing the fireplace details and keeping existing millwork in place involved many site visits. Connecting the design to existing elements in the hotel that were recently installed such as in the meeting rooms and public restrooms was an important task.

The redesigning of the reception area and marketplace to meet brands standards took time and consideration because the space was more limited than the average hotel. Budget is also an issue on many of these projects and so it was with this hotel. Every fabric no matter how beautiful must comply with cleanability and wearability, which belies its commercial code regulated performance. The hotel works well with ease. Our client loves it, the employees enjoy coming to work, and guests feel at home.
